Get one up on the locals – The Mohaka River is one of New Zealand’s most majestic and wild rivers and has superb trout fishing. It is not as well known as the Tongariro River but it certainly delivers and is worth a look.
The Whakapapa River is one of the most stunning rivers which flows from our local volcanoes and boasts amazing brown/rainbow trout fishing and some of the most impressive scenery! Both rainbow and brown trout grow to huge sizes in this river and some big-number days can be achieved by a competent angler.
